Getting To Know Gavin

I actually love watching interest rates, market indexes and stock prices move up and down. That ticker on the bottom of the TV screen provides a constant motivational buzz in the background of my office.

I believe life should be balanced. Paddling through the Boundary Waters Canoe Area listening to the sounds of nature or challenging myself to shave one more stroke off my golfing average are ways that I clear my mind, which is usually flowing with numbers.

Being a Minnesotan my entire life gives me a unique knowledge of Midwestern mortgage policies and patterns. Whether it's assisting new buyers unlock the door to the home they’ve always wanted or helping clients save money each month on a refinance, I love using my knowledge of the markets to help my customers make the best financial decisions.

I have 15 years of experience and I’ve personally closed more than 1,000 loan transactions. My proudest professional achievement is that the vast majority of my new clients are referred by previous clients.

Outside of the office, my wife Jaclyn and I are involved in numerous volunteering activities such as the Animal Humane society of the Twin Cities and World Savvy, which helps enrich educational opportunities for children.

We’re also teaching our young daughter Livian about the joys of helping others, although right now she’s more interested in our rescue dog, Shiloh.

Mary got her start in the business in 1991 at a local bank, starting as a bookkeeper and moved up to being a teller in my 4 years there. Decided to give mortgage a try in 1995 and have been here since! I have worked in many areas of the industry and really enjoy doing what I do. I have worked with many high producing loan officers which requires me to be up to date on all new polices and procedures, so they can be the best they can be.
